History

Nucletron was founded in December 1954 as Schneider & Co. KG at its current address in Munich, Germany. In May of 1966 the company was renamed to NUCLETRON Vertriebs-GmbH to better reflect the nature of its activities in the growing nuclear power market. At this time Nucletron represented many famous American manufacturers.

Back in 1966 the main focus at the time was on laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Almost 6 decades of reliable and trustingl cooperation with both our suppliers and our customers for decades confirms reliable partnership.

In November 1984 the board voted to rename the company as NUCLETRON Electronic GmbH to better reflect its business focus and this appeared in the register of German companies on March 13, 1985.

In the same year the sales division was spun-off as NUCLETRON Leasing GmbH and later renamed as NUCLETRON Vertriebs-GmbH.

NUCLETRON Electronic GmbH was evolved into a Holding Company and became a corporation according to paragraph 376 ff AktG and renamed NUCLETRON Electronic Aktiengesellschaft and was registered with the German company register December 23, 1985.

In line with the changing markets the focus of Nucletron has also changed over the years with Nucletron becoming the a well known source for complex and hi-reliability specialist components and Systems covering a variety of market segments from High Voltage Relays and Components thru High Power and Microwave Components and systems to complex components and systems in the Electro-Optics Market and the growing Thermal Management market.

Independent of all the legal changes the core of Nucletron is still the same – technical Sales and value-adding production of state-of-the-art components, systems and sub-systems.

Nucletron specializes in the following areas:
Power Electronics and Electron Tubes
Electro-Optics
EMC & RF-Shielding
Microwave Technology
Thermal Management &
